The Baptist Church is a part of the Protestantism branch within Christianity and firmly believes that through faith in Jesus Christ and God, one can achieve salvation. Moreover, they transcendently regard the scripture as sacred while practicing baptism via water immersion. Furthermore, Baptists uphold separation between church and state to an extreme degree but also believe that morality should be maintained by governing authorities.
