Our Pastor

On a hot summer morning in July of 1975, the Lord gently convicted me of my sin and need for Him through a Gospel presentation at Vacation Bible School. Since that day, I have had an assurance of my salvation and a growing sense of God’s call upon my life to serve him in His church. Like many preacher’s kids, I desired to be my own man and anything other than a preacher, but God’s call grew louder through high school and college. After two years of College and several different majors, I pledged my head toward heaven and my feet toward seminary. I had a tremendous peace that full-time ministry was my chosen path, but no idea where it would lead me. What a glorious and exciting journey it has been. God is faithful! Every church and ministry challenge has been a gift from the Father, and on each occasion God has strengthened and equipped me for a task far beyond my natural abilities. Sara and I have sought to continually plant our roots not in a particular place according to a particular plan, but in God’s Word, in God’s will, and in whatever place He chooses for us. May His Spirit lead us and may He lead you to where He is working and right where He desires!
